Bad Peak-fitting Example

Which Peak-fit Result is Valid?  Why? 

Read the Sample Description and Look at the Complete set of Spectra.  After looking at the complete set of spectra, you will know which peak-fit is valid.

The BE of the Ni (2p3) spectrum was artificially shifted to force the peak maximum to overlap the valence band spectrum.  This shows that the peak that is 7 eV above the peak maximum is due to configuration interaction and is not due to nickel oxide.
