Photos of real samples mounted on a sample plate placed into the XPS instrument. Often using double sided tape to trap the sample, which are in various forms – cleaved bulk of natural crystal, cleaved bulk of man-made single crystals, exposed bulk of pure polymer beads, polymer films – scraped, and pure powders.
