Bad Survey Spectra

Severe Charging because Flood Gun was OFF during analysis of a Non-conductive Sample.

Bad Data because Electron Detector System was Saturated with a excessive high electron count-rate.

Excessive Noise is due to an excessive number of data-points used to collect the survey.  The user may have tried to use collect a survey spectrum while using very high energy resolution settings.  The user may have hoped to extract chemical state spectra from a survey spectrum running with a small Pass Energy.

The problem is that much of the spectrum does not have a significant XPS signal so a lot of time was wasted collecting high energy resolution data from regions containing no signals.
