Deposited Gold for Charge Referencing – Be Careful
BE of Gold deposited as a thin film changes as the thickness of the Gold increases, which makes deposited Gold very difficult to use for Charge Referencing.
A bigger problem is that Gold islands migrate with time to make bigger clusters which makes it even more difficult to trust this style of charge referencing.
